The event will teach simple, practical interventions.  There will be discussions and demonstrations that individuals and businesses can implement to reduce and manage waste.  Included will be solutions related to selection of goods and services which support Zero Waste. Community members will learn about Zero Waste and efforts to reduce waste in home and businesses.
Strategies include:
Creating Green Gold – Composting, Bokashi Bucket, and Friendly Worms
Eliminating single use plastic water bottles and bags
Community recycling efforts
Electronic waste
Selecting goods and services that support zero waste
Hanging clothes in sunshine to reduce energy use



ECODISTRICT Community Workshop


We will review the recommendations from the final report of the AIA Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) for planning the future of our community. There will be an overview of initiatives that have already began and workshop attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions on several topics including: Safe Routes to Schools / Community Greenways, Programing Public Spaces / Community Gardens, Parking Management, Garnet Ave Improvements, Zoning and Land Use, and Watershed / Rose Creek / Campland / De Anza.
