After years of hard work, planning and persistence the PB Parks Project has been awarded a grant for a feasibility study. The scope of the study will include a preliminary engineering analysis and 30% drawings. Council Member Lorie Zapf spoke at the meeting in support of the project and the grant was awarded. The Pacific Beach Greenways, Parks & Transit Project was successfully submitted for a $400,000 SANDAG grant. See the attachments below for more information.

Bob Craig of the Mission Beach town council has initiated a collaboration of MB and PB organizations to address a major pedestrian obstruction and safety issue within the PB Parks planned area. The community organizations will work with the City of San Diego and SDG&E to move a deteriorated pedestrian obstruction on a primary gateway to the beach.
