Hello, Pacific Beach neighbors!
We’ve got some exciting updates to share since our last letter.
🚲The PB Pathways Phase 3 draft plans are now available on our website and seeing comment and input from the local boards and community. We’re happy to see the community engaging with our draft proposals to make PB a better place to bike, walk, and roll.
🛴We will be iterating on this draft given the continued input. Keep an eye out for updates, especially as we approach some key discussions in September!
Send any comments on the proposal to katie.matchett@beautifulpb.com.
What do you want to see in a neighborhood bike network?
👑We will have another community outreach event for PB Pathways focused on Crown Point. Come ready for a short bike around around the Pathways network in the area, followed by a discussion about improvements we would like to see in the area. July 21st, 4pm-7pm in Crown Point, address TBC!
🎭Art lovers, we need your help! We’re hoping to launch a Pacific Beach Art District. We could really use your help to make this happen and organize a kickoff event. If you’re interested in volunteering or know of any organizations that might want to collaborate, please reach out! info@beautifulpb.com
🎨Speaking of art, have you noticed the blank wall at Surfpost on Cass Street? Not for long! We’re partnering with the talented Hanna’s Murals to create a stunning “Welcome to Pacific Beach” mural that celebrates our wild side. Mark your calendars for August 24th – we’ll be unveiling this beauty and would love for you all to join us.
👩🏻💻For our data enthusiasts (we know you’re out there!), our annual PB Counts event is coming up on August 10th from 3-5pm. It’s a great way to contribute to our understanding of how people move through our neighborhood, whether by car, bike, scooter, or on foot. Volunteers are always welcome!

We’re looking into tools to enhance our community engagement efforts and digitize the local conversation. If you have any ideas on how to use technology to enhance our org, reach out to ryan@beautifulpb.com.
And don’t forget – Pacific BeachFest is just around the corner on October 5th. We’ll be there with presenting our projects and celebrating the Surfpost mural, so come say hi at the Community Area!
Lastly, if you’d like to get more involved, our next board meeting is on July 8th. 6-7:30pm. Online (Zoom Link)
As always, we’re so grateful for this wonderful community. Your engagement and support make all of this possible. Here’s to making Pacific Beach even more beautiful, together!
