Love Your Wetlands Day

Thank you to everyone who joined beautifulPB for this year’s Love Your Wetlands Day at the Kendall-Frost Marsh on February 1.

This annual event brings together residents and visitors to explore, learn about and protect Mission Bay’s wetlands. Sponsored by the San Diego Bird Alliance, Love Your Wetlands Day demonstrates the importance of our local habitats through guided marsh and kayak clean ups, birding, booths from environmental organizations, educational presentations by local scientists, speeches by elected officials, native planting, and local cultural activities with leaders of the Kumeyaay Tribe. We used our booth at the event to spread the word about our latest projects, and gather input about the types of improvements you would like to see along our PB Pathways network.

February 15 – Pedals & Pathways
A fun, casual bike ride exploring Pacific Beach’s safe and scenic PB Pathways! Great for all ages and a perfect way to learn safe cycling around town and connect with active mobility enthusiasts.
📍 Starts & ends at Surf Lounge (763 Turquoise St)
🚴🏻‍♀️ Two distances for casual riders of all abilities.
February 22 – PB Arts District
Interested in digging in planning art events? Join PB’s growing Arts District!
🎭 Join us at Kendall’s Kitchen

February 27 – Meetup & Mixer
Love public art and just want to get a taste? This relaxed mixer will feature a short talk on murals and arts, followed by an informal social hour with alcohol-free drinks and snacks!
📍 Complimentary food and drinks from local businesses
